Where these numbers come from.
Indian EV subsidy figures are widely republished and widely wrong. Aggregator sites and subsidy blogs contradict each other, and most are at least one policy cycle out of date. So nothing on this page is taken from a summary.
- Every figure is read off the state's own notified policy — the gazette notification, Government Resolution or transport department document — and each state card links to that document.
- Where a policy is silent on something, this page says not stated. Where a policy deliberately offers nothing, it says none. Those are different findings and they are not blurred together.
- Each state is labelled primary source if the figures were read off the notified document itself, or secondary source if they are corroborated across independent reports but the government document has not been located. Secondary entries name the exact document still needed. Nothing is presented as more certain than it is.
- Incentives are what the policy promises. Disbursement in practice runs behind that in most states, and the policy text will not tell you by how much.
