Electric is not zero. Charging draws from a grid that is currently about 71% as carbon-intensive per unit of energy as it sounds — so the chart shows the electricity emissions that remain rather than hiding them. On India's grid an electric fleet is materially cleaner than diesel, but not carbon-free. If you charge from a captive solar or wind PPA, lower the grid intensity in the assumptions and watch the saving grow.
